Matariki kites at Kirikiriroa Marae

Here are some pics from Wednesday where some of us learnt to make kites to help celebrate Matariki.  TomTam from our class got to go with them.  Check out our pics.

On Wednesday last week, me, Nicole, Emily, Mahjon and Mrs T went to Kirikiriroa Marae.  It was the  coolest day ever because I was chosen out of 600 students in KNS ever!

We started making kites which was the  coolest part.  It was made out of bamboo. Me and Mahjon were buddies. Nicole and Emily were  buddies  too.

We started doing the kites. Me and Mahjon didn’t get it right. Nicole and Emily they got the hang of it. We did’t get the hang of it because we didn’t know what to do.  So Mahjon asked Matua Lee, the helper. We didn’t finish it on time because it was nearly the end of making kites.

We were sitting with the Berkley School boys. The Hamilton Jr High School sang a song for the helpers to say thank you and Berkley School  boys and girls sang a song to say thank you.

What an awesome day!
