Smashing feet hitting the ground

like I was running.

Big, loud voices like somebody was screaming

Out pops the beast

Kicking

Spitting

Trying to get his own way

Smash

Crash

Throwing things across the ground.

travels through your body
slowly and slowly 
it gets to the top.
You turn red
suddenly you explode with fire
bursting out of your red steaming body
            You sting people                
                           You scream and spit at them
Finally your RED BEAST 
is AWAKENED

you're just about to blow

something happens

you're a gonna

You get louder and louder

you're the loudest you have ever been

you reach the point

where you can't get any louder.

Suddenly...

hitting

kicking

spitting

Pure silence.

Everything pauses.

Arisen from his slumber.

Hurting, scaring everyone in his path

All he sees is darkness,

All he feels is rage.

His eyes and ears squeeze into ants

His mouth a hurtful giant.

A set off bomb.

a missile he explodes.

The beast is gone.

A bear can get angry and can stop with bubble wrap and a drink

It destroys everything and it has a loud noisy sound.

It can be grumpy like hurt people 

and it has small eyes, small ears and a big mouth.

It can be a volcano, it's evil and hot and it says "hahahaha"

It can ruin a house and hurt people.

his flames across his face
Growing curious of what's around him
SMASH
CRASH
KICKING
YELLING
"untamed?"
Spreading
Swinging his hands
unaware of what he is doing
Destroying everything in his path
his flames burn down to room
getting darker
more silent
flames sinking
into the ground
the Devil is now sleeping
for not.

its home land...

The Nether.

Looking for pain to feed on,

and...

Rage bleeding with in his head.

Snapping furiously at its terrified victims,

eyes ripping out of their sockets.

Enough energy to power the earth.

All happens so swiftly...

The Devil falls into a deep sleep

Until is awakes...

Again.

I dont know what to do

my heart pumping

as he gets closer closer

he starts to creep

I hear footsteps

It's coming

It travels through your body as fast as it can go
Faster faster beating hard, until

the lid flips 
the volcano erupts
lava come flying out.

The Red Beast chaarges out and uses its mouth and its arms
for slapping, hitting, screaming and swearing

Until the Red best is trapped and has calmed down.

People are scared of snakes

When a snake bites you, the snakes thinks it is being funny

But for people, they think that it is not funny.

This is a piece of writing that YouMic crafted for the Altrusa writing competition.  Unfortunately we missed the deadline, but simply had to share this amazing piece.

The theme was 'When I saw it my life changed forever..."

PETRA 

When I saw it my life changed forever.  This was the day I’d waited for, for so long.  Massive walls towered above me, orange and red cliffs glowing as we journeyed under them.  Wandering between steep sharp rocks like the blade of a knights sword.   And then, after what seemed like hours I turned the final corner.  There in front of me was a huge gigantic building.  Enormous columns, stunning statues shimmering orange in the afternoon sun.  Beautiful carvings and patterns from thousands of years ago.  Dust was in my face and mouth was dry but I didn’t care.  This was amazing.  In fact it was the most amazing thing I had ever seen.  The magnificent Treasury of Petra.
